Over the past few weeks, we have had the opportunity to delve into the key role of the Facility Manager in the modern corporate ecosystem.
We have discussed the new challenges this figure has to face – from the ecological transition to hybrid work – and we have explored the increasing value of Smart Lockers as a resource available to these professionals to help them achieve their goals.
We have also had the pleasure of chatting with Marco Calculli, Change Global Process Owner at Data4Group; after working side by side, we took the opportunity to learn more about his role as a Facility Manager within a challenging and constantly evolving corporate context.
The focus on the role of the Facility Manager is motivated by the desire to contribute to the growing recognition that this profession is gaining, not only in Italy but also internationally. Among others, an entity that plays a prominent role in the growth and definition of this profession is the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
Founded in 1990 as a non-profit entity, IFMA is dedicated to promoting educational opportunities with the aim of encouraging the development of the Facility Management profession, providing valuable resources for students in this field (competitions, scholarships, and a dedicated internship committee).
It also collaborates with economic development committees and academic institutions to raise awareness and education in this interesting sector.
We are therefore very pleased to announce that from this year WIB has decided to actively support IFMA Italy and its mission, joining the association as a supplier partner! Within this community, we found – among partners and clients – many organizations with which we have already had the pleasure of collaborating and just as many with which we hope to develop new projects.
Regarding this important step, Alfonso Correale, CEO of WIB, stated: “Supporting IFMA is a natural choice for us. We strongly believe in the value of an increasingly professionalized Facility Management and we see in this association a precious resource to promote the profession and encourage the exchange of skills and experiences“.
